Sustainability and Innovation
Villapark Ardea originated from Camping Vergeer, which was founded in the 1960s by Theo and Wil Vergeer. Following several expansions and modernisations, the park has increasingly positioned itself as a place where relaxation, work, and recreation are in balance.
Villapark Ardea holds sustainability in high regard. Every villa is completely gas-free and powered by green energy, generated via solar panels and stored in battery packs. Furthermore, all chalets feature a unique, advanced rainwater harvesting system for the collection and processing of rainwater. In this way, we contribute to a more sustainable lifestyle without compromising on comfort.
Redevelopment
The redevelopment of the park encompasses not only the renewal of the infrastructure but also the raising and widening of the dykes, allowing the villas to enjoy a magnificent view over the water and meadows. Moreover, significant attention is paid to water management and sustainable energy solutions, making Villapark Ardea not just a luxury destination, but also one of the greenest parks in the Netherlands.
Smart water management
Villapark Ardea is also highly progressive in the field of water management. Rainwater is collected via the roof and stored in an underground tank.
This water is subsequently reused for, among other things, flushing the toilet, the washing machine, watering the garden, and cleaning activities.
For drinking and shower water, there is a connection to the Dunea network.
Energy self-sufficiency
All holiday homes at Villapark Ardea are designed to be energy-autarkic. Each villa has its own installation of solar panels and a battery pack, which provides for the majority of the energy requirements.
This generated electricity is used for heating, cooling, hot water, and all household appliances.
Excess energy is stored in a general battery pack and utilised during periods with little sunlight.
In all villas, comfort and sustainability go hand in hand. They are completely gas-free and equipped with smart, eco-friendly solutions. Additionally, the sun deck above the car park facilitates sufficient energy to meet the energy needs of electric and hybrid vehicles, as well as bicycles and other electrical equipment.
